Su historia
I was born in a home full of love on September 13, 1951, in Villa Del Parque. When I was
three years old, my family moved to their own house in the Partido de General San Martín,
Buenos Aires Province. I was always well guided by my mom, Amelia, on the correct and
beautiful education life....
I worked as a teacher for two years while I was young. In those years, my 7th-grade
students and I had so much fun, which was a pleasing experience God had gifted me with.
During my time as a student, I never stopped buying and selling things.
My dad, Adolfo, always involved me in the buying and selling of second-hand objects.
Each walk through the streets of Buenos Aires looking to buy objects and jewelry made my
interest in the beauty of every period culminate in passion.
I learned to sing and to make and tell jokes, which was my secret weapon to connect with
those who did not know that life is much better with a smile on your face. Short of money
but with plenty of will, my race toward success began. My goal was to have money, so my
parents could travel, fix their house, buy things that they would like, and go on vacations.
All these steps summarized led to my increasing desire to study gemology. Participating in
experts’ reports and working alongside the city museum became the most beautiful
motivation to have my own rare jewelry and objects collection. That is how I began working
at the San Telmo fair.
By traveling across Europe and participating in exhibitions in Switzerland with clear objectives, I was able to visit hundreds of places that enriched my curiosity.
Determined to keep my weekend job at the San Telmo fair, I brought myself to buy my first store at Street Florida 780, Buenos Aires City. The place was very modest, but it was surrounded by many hotels full of tourists who would visit my store to buy or fix jewelry on Sundays.
My success was as big as my surprise: I worked from Monday to Saturday and, on Sundays, back to the fair. Store 9 of the gallery outgrew my clients. I felt motivated again, so I also bought Store 6, located behind a passageway. For my new addition, I had to hire three employees to assist the clients, and my desk was in the back.
I immediately opened a store with a partner at the Promenade gallery at the Alvear Hotel “Una finestra sul tempo” (a window in time). Such was the success that, after three years, I was able to buy Store 12 in the same gallery for my “Torini Jewels and Watches.”
Juan Carlos Pallarols contacted me to open a small store located in Manhattan, New York City. Within the year, we managed to open it with great success until the attack on the Twin Towers, and we were forced to take an extensive impasse.
The Street Alvear 1883, Store 12, is my whole family’s illusion. The place where we work and assist clients and friends. My dream is to eventually have a nice small place with comfortable couches and no display window, so I can share with my clients my passion for the design of private jewelry collections.
Time and plenty of love, will and desire for growth. With my children, Luciano and Antonella, and my wife, Lía, by my side, we will continue to play at smiling at the future!
